Big Piney defeats Thermopolis
Big Piney 19 - Thermopolis 0
by Barb Mullin
October 6, 2007
Coach Joel Eskelsen's Comments:
Big homecoming win that raises record to 5-1. The defense again was outstanding and the offense finally began moving the ball. Drew Guenthner broke the 100 yd rush mark for the game and scored two TDs. John Colton and Ben Howard led in defensive points with 23 and 21 respectively. The front line of Greg Eiden, Taylor Moceika, and Cameron Pedersen pretty much neutralized Thermop’s offensive line. With the win, Big Piney appears to be headed to hosting a first round game. A win in the next two games should insure that. Next game is at Lyman, 4:00 of Friday. Lyman (2-4) has a good interior line that will test the Puncher “D.” The Punchers close the regular season with a game at Greybull on Oct. 19 beginning at 5:30.
