The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be closed to 2007 watercraft registration from Oct. 22 through Nov. 1, for annual year-end report processing.

“Our watercraft registration system will be taken offline to wrap up 2007,” explains Game and Fish License Manager Jean Cole. “Watercraft registrations will not be accepted at the headquarters office in Cheyenne, nor at any of our regional offices. We appreciate the public’s cooperation in closing the system so that we can finalize our 2007 reports.”

Watercraft registration for calendar year 2008 will begin on Nov. 2. Anyone registering a watercraft after that day will be given a permit for operation valid through Dec. 31, 2008.

In Wyoming, any watercraft powered by a motor must be registered with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. For more information on watercraft regulations, or safe boating requirements, visit the Game and Fish Web site at http://gf.state.wy.us/ and select Boating.
