Ok guys, here’s great news for you! Pinedale is getting a real Barbershop!
A gentleman by the name of Blanton Sanders is just about ready to open his new business, Blanton’s Barbershop. It is located in the old Under Wraps building, across the street from the Pinedale Fire Station, on South Fremont Avenue.
“We won’t take any appointments,” said Sanders. “It will be all walk-ins. It’s what the guys want. What they are asking for.” This is a traditional barbershop, first-come, first-served.
The Barbershop will do a basic haircut starting at $17. Goatee and beard trims run $6-$8 and up. He’ll do scissor cuts, razor cuts, hot lather neck shaves and more. Prices are flexible and are adjusted based on how customized you want the cut. This is a Cash Only barbershop. Credit cards and check will not be accepted.
Sanders says the new shop will be, “no fuss, no frills and no fluff!” The magazines in the shop will be “magazines for men”. No Cosmopolitan or Vogue, and “no girly wallpaper either.” There also won’t be any “smells/odors associated with women’s salon services, such as nail polish remover, perm solution, hair dyes.”
Hours aren’t set yet, but he will be offering some evening hours to accommodate those who work later hours. The new barbershop will be opening as soon as they get approval from the Barber Board.
Blanton’s Barbershop is located at 119 S. Fremont Avenue #3. Watch for the announcement of opening soon.
