New Year means new hunting & fishing licenses
by Wyoming Game & Fish
December 13, 2007
The last day of December not only signifies the end of the year. It is also the last day 2007 hunting and fishing licenses and conservation stamps will be valid.
The new 2008 fishing, small game/game bird, trapping licenses and conservation stamps are being shipped to 400 licenses agents throughout the state, reports Game and Fish license section manager Jean Cole. Cole said licenses will go on sale beginning Dec. 17, which will leave two weeks for hunters and anglers to obtain licenses before the 2007 licenses expire.
Many small game and waterfowl seasons continue into the New Year and will require new licenses. However the federal migratory waterfowl stamp (duck stamp) and Harvest Information Program (HIP) permit are valid through June 2008.
