Speed control efforts continue

Law enforcement agencies are continuing intensive efforts
to enforce the new 55 miles-per-hour speed limit on a portion of State Highway 351.

Sublette County Sheriff's deputies and Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers have been cruising back and forth on the stretch of highway from the New Fork River to Chapel Hill, keeping their lights flashing as they pull vehicles over to help drivers learn about the newly reduced speed limit on what had become a dangerous stretch of pavement.

There have been as many as five law enforcement officers on
patrol during the early morning hours between 4:30 a.m. and
7 a.m. The intensive effort seems to be working, with much of the traffic beginning to ease up on the gas pedal.
