Fire Chiefs Sublette County Fire Chiefs John Blaha of Boulder, Alvin Mitchell of Pinedale, Festus Krauss of Cora, Ben Franklin of Daniel, and Richard Thomas of Bondurant.

Sublette County Fire Chiefs John Blaha of Boulder, Alvin Mitchell of Pinedale, Festus Krauss of Cora, Ben Franklin of Daniel, and Richard Thomas of Bondurant received special recognition during the firefighter’s Christmas banquet at Rendezvous Pointe Center on Sunday, December 1st.

There are roughly 127 firefighters in the county. This past year the various departments handled a combined 366 calls throughout the county. The departments all welcome anyone who is interested in becoming active in the firefighting efforts in their areas of the county.

They handle wildland fires, house and structure fires, crash fires, brush and range fires across the county. “We need some young blood,” said Big Piney fire chief John Ball.
