Heavy snow and strong winds this week have covered all remaining obstacles and thin spots on the nordic trail system both along Skyline Drive and at the CCC Ponds.

Conditions will be soft and probably windswept this weekend as we try to catch up with grooming a foot or more of new snow and drifts on 17 miles (28 km) of trail. This recent series of storms should guarantee excellent Nordic skiing here for at least another month.

Nordic events at the Wyoming Senior Winter Games will be held in Surveyor Park at White Pine this week on Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 12-14. The Biathlon is at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, with 2.5K and 5K skate races on Wednesday, and 1K, 2.5K and 5K Classic races on Thursday. Events on Wednesday and Thursday begin at 9:00 AM and continue throughout the day. Race routes will be groomed just prior to the events.
