4H Club Open Horse Show May 3 by Mary Thompson
April 30, 2008
The 8th annual Wind River Riders 4H Club Open Horse Show is scheduled for this Saturday May 3 at the Big Piney Arena beginning at 8 AM.
This annual show attracts riders from a tri-state area and more than 44 classes run all day. Prizes for first place finishers are beautiful Montana Silversmith buckles. Area businesses and individuals donate generously to this event enabling the club to offer these great buckles. Any proceeds left over after expenses are paid go to clinics and workshops that the Wind River Riders feel are helpful to area youth.
"This horse show is a big community service project for our club, and we try to involve as many horse people as we can", says Jayne Thompson an 8 year 4H member. "Our club is made up of serious horse competitors as well as new first year members to the horse 4H program".
Plan on spending some time on Saturday at the fairgrounds for this exciting event.
