The Wind River Riders 4H Club will host its eighth annual horse show at the Big Piney arena at the Sublette County Fairgrounds on Saturday May 3rd beginning at 8 AM. Horse enthusiasts from Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and even Colorado attend this early season event. There are over 40 classes scheduled and silver buckles and gorgeous ribbons will be awarded as prizes.
"This has become an annual tradition for our club," said Zach Thompson. "We are very lucky to get generous donations from area business and friends of 4H who are happy to support kids and agriculture."
The Wind River Riders puts on clinics with money they raise. Recently they held a mock horse show clinic that was free to area youth and was designed to help riders understand what a judge is looking for in the show ring.
Even if you are not entered in the show on May 3rd, it is very interesting to come to Big Piney and watch. Lunch will be available.
If your business would like to sponsor a class buckle, please call Laurie La Mere at 307-367-2836.
