According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Fernandez was eastbound on WYO 351 around 7:30 PM when his 2008 GMC Sierra went off the right side of the roadway. There were no indications of braking or evasive maneuvers prior to the vehicle leaving the roadway. Fernandez overcorrected his steering to the left going across both east and westbound lanes of travel. He then overcorrected his steering to the right at which time his vehicle rolled two complete times coming to rest partially on the south shoulder blocking the eastbound lane of travel. During the rollover, Fernandez was totally ejected from the cab of the pickup. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Fernandez came to rest in the roadway. Troopers are investigating excessive speed as a contributing factor in this crash.
