Cell phone not working? Turn off your phone to reset.

Pinedale experienced a power flux around 12:30 PM this afternoon (Wednesday, May 28). The power came right back on, but some people discovered they couldn’t reach some cell phone contacts after the power flux. Our informal, unscientific test indicates some Union Wireless customer’s numbers give a fast “beep-beep-beep” signal when trying to reach them and the phone doesn’t receive the signal when we did the test calling our own phone.
If you are one of those using Union Wireless service and are having trouble with service still, try turning your phone off for about 30 seconds and then turning it back on. That will cycle the power and hopefully reset the phone.
If that doesn’t restore your service, you can call Union at 1-888-926-2273 for a trouble ticket. Our informal survey indicated that Verizon cell phones weren’t affected by this power flux.
