Wyoming Air Quality Advisory Board Meeting
The Wyoming Air Quality Advisory Board will meet on June 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at the Casper DEQ Field Office Conference Room, 152 N. Durbin, Suite 100, Casper, Wyoming.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss recent revisions to the Regional Haze State Implementation Plan (SIP) under 40 CFR 51.309, as well as an overview and discussion of some of the ozone issues in the Upper Green River Basin.
The Air Quality Division (AQD) will begin by providing an overview of the schedule for completing the State of Wyoming Regional Haze Plans (both 51.309 and 51.309(g)). The AQD will then conduct a SIP Hearing on revisions to the Regional Haze State Implementation Plan under 40 CFR 51.309, originally submitted to the U.S. EPA on December 2, 2003.
The afternoon session will include: preliminary results of the Upper Green Winter Ozone Study; strategies for controlling ozone formation; and the new ozone ambient standard and its implications.
The public is invited to attend and provide oral or written comments to the Board and AQD on all matters before the Board. Written comments should be submitted to David A. Finley, Administrator, DEQ/AQD, Herschler Building 2-E, 122 W. 25th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming, 82002. Comments submitted by email will not be included in the public record. The SIP is available for public inspection at the Department of Environmental Quality, Air Quality Division, Herschler Building, 2nd Floor, 122 W. 25th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming. Electronic copies of the Agenda, Public Notice, and draft revisions to the 309 State Implementation Plan will be available after May 2, 2008 at http://deq.state.wy.us/aqd/index.asp?pageid=8.
