As part of the new Fremont County Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) program, Riverton High School students joined EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. for a tour of the Jonah Field recently. EnCana Drilling Engineer Jeremy Ray gave the students a better understanding of EnCana operations, from drilling to surface reclamation.

Last year, EnCana contributed $113,800 to Fremont County BOCES to establish an innovative energy education program that encourages students to stay in school and receive training for local industry jobs. The program was rolled out in the Spring 2008 semester at Riverton High School, and will be extended to other high schools in the county for the 2008-2009 school year.
