On Wednesday, 5-21-08 at approximately 2:00pm a call came into the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office in Marbleton, Wyoming of a robbery that just taken place. Victim stated that he was driving west on 5th St. in Marbleton, when he noticed that the wind had blown his tool box lid open in the rear of his truck. Victim stated that he got out of his truck to shut the lid, and as he was getting back into his truck that he was struck in the forehead with a bottle and knocked to the ground. Victim then stated that the suspect then started to reach into his pockets.
Victim states that the suspect is approximately 6’ to 6’2” with a medium build. Suspect is thought to be approximately 40 to 50 years of age wearing blue coveralls and brown boots. The suspect has goatee type facial hair with long sideburns. He was also wearing a red and white baseball cap. The suspect was last seen running south on Winkleman St.
The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office responded immediately and combed the Town of Marbleton and Big Piney, but was unable to locate anyone matching that description. The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who might have seen this incident or might have seen anyone matching that description to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
