A semi truck carrying a large load apparently snagged a power line while crossing the twin bridges across Pine Creek on South Tyler Avenue Tuesday morning. The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office closed the road for public safety due to the downed power lines.
The Pinedale Fire Department, Sublette County Sheriff's Office, Pinedale Natural Gas Company and Rocky Mountain Power personnel were all working to secure the scene.
As of noon Tuesday, the best estimate was the road would be reopened within about an hour. It may take another couple of hours to make repairs to the power and phone lines to get service restored to all customers affected by the accident.
The truck carrying the wide load was permitted to use the road. There were no reported injuries.
