Horse & Mule Packing Clinic June 29

There will be a horse and mule packing clinic at the Sublette County Fairgrounds on Sunday, June 29th. The clinic will be hands-on and stock will be provided. Brad Bence and Gary Hayward with the Forest Service will be conducting the clinic, which is being sponsored by the Mountain Man Back Country Horsemen group.
The important points of packing a horse or mule for backcountry pack trips will be covered, including:
Proper saddle and tack fit - Highlining and hobbling
Preparing loads for packing - Safety tips
Variety of hitches - “Leave no trace”
Bring a brown bag lunch. Drinks will be provided at no charge. Reservations are appreciated, but tickets will be available at the door. Cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. For reservations or more information call Wendy Walter at work: 307-367-3667 or at home: 307-367-2624.
