Man killed on Pinedale Anticline drill rig

Shell Exploration & Production Company has issued the following media release concerning a fatality on June 24 on a drill rig in the Pinedale Anticline. ____________________________________ We are saddened by the loss of an employee of one of our contractors in the Pinedale, Wyoming operations early Tuesday morning.
A 24 year-old employee of Nabors Drilling, working on the Nabors 476 drilling rig on the north end of the Pinedale Anticline, died as a result of injuries from an accident on location at approximately 1 AM Tuesday (June 24) morning. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the young man (name being withheld until we have confirmation that Nabors has been able to contact all family members).
Shell will cooperate with Nabors, Sublette County Sheriff's Department, State of Wyoming Occupational Safety office and any other relevant agency investigating the accident.
The safety of Shell employees and contractors who work on behalf of Shell is our top priority and we pause today to reflect on this incident and look for the learning to come from the investigation to prevent this type of accident in the future. ____________________________________ For more information contact James L.
