PINEDALE, WY – Why pay full price, when you can buy more for less at the Friends of the Sublette County Library Annual Summer Book Sale. This not-to-miss summer event in Pinedale takes place Friday, July 25th and Saturday, July 26th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the library’s lobby at 155 S. Tyler. Paperbacks will be on sale for fifty cents and hardbacks one dollar. Bibliomaniacs of all ages will be delighted with the thousands of items for sale - fiction, mysteries, children's books, books on tape and video, how-to's and more. "This time around there are an abundance of VHS movies available", said Ann Stowe, book sale coordinator. "Many people are switching to DVDs and donating their movies for the sale. Those who kept their VHS machines are going to be very happy!" Simultaneously, the unique pieces of Wyoming folk art created by your friends and neighbors last summer as part of the Smithsonian Museum on Main Street exhibit, Between Fences will be on display. Stop by the library entrance and bid on these original and expressive fence posts. This is an opportunity to own a truly unique piece of art that reflects our regional culture and landscape.
The weekend events will conclude with a public reception from 4 -5 p.m. on Saturday. Join us for some complimentary refreshments. Bidding closes promptly at 5 p.m. when all the posts head to their new homes. The library can’t do it without you. Volunteers are still needed to help set up and sell. For more information about either the book sale or silent auction, please call 367-4114. All proceeds go to the Sublette County Library Foundation, Inc. The foundation is dedicated to the financial support and assistance of the public libraries of Sublette County, Wyoming. It provides capital improvements, furnishings and programming for the libraries in Pinedale and Big Piney.
