BLM hosts public meeting on helium facility Sept. 29
At the Marbleton Town Hall
September 22, 2008
The Pinedale Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management will hold a public meeting on the proposed Cimarex Energy helium and methane recovery facility project. The meeting will be on Monday, September 29, at the Marbleton Town from 3:00 to 7:30 PM.
The facility is proposed on 618 acres BLM, state and private land west of Big Piney. The State of Wyoming has granted Cimarex Energy a Special Use Lease for development of the new facility. The project would test new technology in processing sour gas (a mixture of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, natural gas and helium).
The public is encouraged to participate in the scoping process to help identify issues or concerns that should be analyzed, mitigation opportunities and any other comments or ideas to help ensure the best possible plan. Written comments are encouraged.
