Pinedale’s 6th grade volleyball team has had a successful season so far. The team consists of 26 players, and they haven’t lost a match yet.
On September 8th they played Farson and won 25-9, 25-17, 25-20. Abigail Fear won Farson’s Good Sportsmanship award. Kassidy Williams served 15 aces. Camille Whitehair won the team MVP award for not making any passing or serving errors.
On September 15, Big Piney came to Pinedale and the 6th graders won again with scores of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-16 for the A team and 25-10, 25-17, and 25-18 for the B team. Gillian McFarland won the team MVP award for her 7 aces and 86% passing percentage. Tessa Wilson won the team serving award for getting 13 points.
On September 23, Pinedale 6th grade went to Big Piney and won 25-21, 25-15, 22-25 for the A team and 25-13, 22-25, 25-14 for the B team. A team MVP was Talyn Hutta with 100% serving, 5 of her serves aces, and 57% passing. Kyla Taylor and Tessa Wilson also served 100%, adding 10 serving points and 12 serving points, respectively. B team MVP was Heidi Feck with 6 serving points, no serving errors and 100% passing. Jessica Graves served 9 points and Brenna Stone served 6.
