EnCana Oil and Gas (USA) Inc. contributed $6,000 to the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of Wyoming to fund a strategy session scheduled for 2009. The strategy session is designed to provide frank feedback on the current vision, mission, objectives and goals of the foundation. Participants of the session will include staff from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission, and board and staff members of the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of Wyoming. According to Terry Cleveland, interim executive director of the foundation, "Our mission is to create an enduring natural legacy for future generations through stewardship of all Wyoming’s wildlife. This strategy session will provide the bedrock for our activities in future years." Randy Teeuwen, EnCana community relations advisor and member of the foundation board, said "Bringing the board and stakeholders together to plan the Foundation's goals and activities is critical to the long-term support of Wyoming's wildlife needs. We strive to be responsible stewards of wildlife habitat throughout all of our operations, and are proud to be involved with an organization that exemplifies Wyoming’s commitment to wild places." The purpose of the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of Wyoming is to provide financial support, through philanthropy, to critical wildlife conservation efforts in Wyoming.
