Unemployment Compensation Extension Act allows seven more weeks of benefits
by Wyoming Department of Employment
November 29, 2008
On November 21, 2008, President Bush signed into law an extension of federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) benefits.
Claimants currently filing for EUC benefits and claimants who have exhausted their EUC benefits and are still totally or partially unemployed may file for up to seven more weeks of EUC benefits.
These potentially eligible claimants will be contacted via mail with information and instructions on filing for the extended EUC.
If individuals have not received a notice by December 10, 2008, and believe they are eligible, they should call the Unemployment Insurance Claims Center at (307) 473-3789.
