Sweetwater County authorities are seeking help from the public in apprehending a Utah fugitive. Undersheriff Craig Jackson of the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office said today (Tuesday, December 2) that his office has received information that Lance Randal Alcott, who is wanted by officials in Uintah County, Utah on felony methamphetamine charges, may be in the Rock Springs - Green River area. Alcott is also wanted for Unlawful Purchase of a Handgun. Alcott is described as a 29-year-old white male, 6'0" in height, weight about 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. According to Utah Adult Probation and Parole agents in Vernal, Alcott may also have dreadlocks. "We’re asking that people call law enforcement if they spot Alcott," Jackson said. "Don’t confront him or try to deal with him yourself. Make a note what he’s wearing and what vehicle he’s in, if any. Then call in and we’ll take it from there."
