The much needed and hoped for snowfall has found its way to the slopes at White Pine. Daily flurries have passed through the mountains, but finally on Sunday night and throughout the day on Monday, up to a foot of new snow had fallen, blanketing the mountain. The snow comes just in time for holiday skiers and snowboarders who will head to the mountains for fun.

The crews at White Pine have been grooming, plowing and packing pretty much full time to get things ready for daily lift operations over the next two weeks. The cross-country trails have been packed and groomed and are free to the public. The two triple chairlifts will run daily 9:30-4 PM during the holidays and through January 4th.

"We are really excited about the great snow we are getting. The cabins are full and we are hoping for a very busy Christmas season", said Max Lundburg. "The Ski and Snowboard Club has been busy up here, as well as the high school ski team, and it is just great to have all this activity and to see so many people having fun outdoors".

The resort will be hosting it’s annual New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade as well as the Chili Feast and dining by reservation only. For more information, check out the website at www.whitepineski.com.
