The National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colorado reported that an earthquake occurred at 9:15 pm MST Thursday evening, January 15, which was felt weakly by many people in the Jackson Hole area. The quake had a magnitude 3.7 on the Richter scale and was centered at latitude 43.225 north and longitude 110.859 west or 18 miles south southwest of Jackson, Wyoming or 9 miles east northeast of Alpine, Wyoming.
