Obo’s hopes to expand to Green River

The Wyoming Business Report had three online stories today that directly relate to Sublette County.
- Obo’s Market & Deli is hoping to expand to Green River by next fall if they can get approval. The company currently has stores in Pinedale and Marbleton.
- Schlumberger Ltd., an oilfield support company, has announced they plan to trim 5,000 jobs worldwide, 1,000 in North America, because of the worldwide economic situation and a reduction in profits. The company said they expect significant declines in North American gas drilling in 2009.
- Based on a story in the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Cubs baseball team and historic Wrigley Field will be sold to the Ricketts family for approximately $900 million. Joe Ricketts, who is now retired and has a home in Bondurant, founded TD Ameritrade in 1975. The money to buy the franchise is coming from Ameritrade.
