BLM seeks Volunteers for Pinedale Anticline Task Groups
by Bureau of Land Management
February 23, 2009
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is asking for volunteers to serve on the Pinedale Anticline Working Group (PAWG) Air, Transportation and Socioeconomic Task Groups.
Volunteers are needed to represent the Town of Pinedale, Sublette County, federal agencies, oil and gas operators, the environmental community, livestock operators, adjacent landowners and the public-at-large. By law, each Task Group must have balanced representation, therefore, some volunteers may not be able participate.
The PAWG was established as an advisory group to provide recommendations to the BLM on the monitoring and mitigation of impacts associated with oil and gas development on the Pinedale Anticline. For more information on the PAWG, please visit their web site at http://www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/field_offices/Pinedale/pawg.html.
For more information regarding the Task Groups or to volunteer, please contact Shelley Gregory at the Pinedale Field Office, 307-367-5328, or e-mail shelley_gregory@blm.gov.
