All 17 miles of the Pinedale Nordic trail system along Skyline Drive and at the CCC Pond Pathway are in good shape. This week’s wet snows have made for soft conditions but will help extend our season. The trails are groomed three days during the week plus Saturday on the upper trails. Grooming will continue until March 15 at the CCC Ponds and into April along Skyline Drive as snow conditions allow.

The Wyoming High School Nordic State Championships will be held in Surveyor Park at White Pine this Friday and Saturday mornings. An awards banquet and high school Nordic team fundraiser takes place at the high school on Friday night.

The 1st Annual White Pine Nordic Freestyle 15K Ski Race was held on February 14 in conjunction with the Wyoming Senior Winter Games. Many thanks to race coordinators Lee and Jim Straley. Not surprisingly, Jason Ray was first overall. Norm Cessna and Jar Mortenson were the top male and female finishers in the over-50 crowd.
