Waterline Construction Crews digging for the Pinedale waterline construction severed a telephone fiber optic line Wednesday afternoon, cutting phone and high speed internet access to residents for several hours until repairs could be made.

Crews doing digging for the Pinedale waterline project on the west side of Pinedale accidentally cut through a CenturyTel fiber optic phone line severing long distance telephone and high speed CenturyTel internet service to Pinedale customers on Wednesday afternoon. The outage also shut down internet access for some wyoming.com internet access customers that utilize CenturyTel phone lines.

CenturyTel repairmen worked for several hours on the intricate lines to reestablish the connections.

Service was restored around 9:00 PM Wednesday night.
