Fight Against MS Quilt Show May 15-16

The Fight Against Multiple Sclerosis Quilt Show will be held May 15-16, 2009. Friday 1:00 -6:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm in the Big Piney High School Annex located at 650 Piney Drive. The money collected will be donated to the Wyoming Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society with 60% going to research and 40% for home health care needs.
A number of the quilts on display will be for sale. There is also a silent auction, a used book sale, raffle for a new Bernina sewing machine, and an auction quilt for the "A Woman’s Work" project. Free will donations will be gratefully accepted at the door.
"Positive – Negative", a class featuring an optical illusion using 6 gradations of color from light to dark, is offered Friday, May 15 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, cost $35.00. The class is being taught by Alice Kay Arnett, a National Quilt Instructor from Laramie, Wyoming. Friday evening a trunk show of Alice’s quilts will begin at 7:00 pm at the Senior Center in Marbleton along with a scrumptious dessert bar and the drawing for the "Make a Heart for MS" challenge block. There will be a small charge of $10 for the Friday evening festivities.
