Winter Weather Advisory for Thursday
Snow, rain, wind
April 15, 2009
The National Weather Service advises that a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Thursday for western Wyoming. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
Light to moderate snow will develop overnight Wednesday and continue through midday Thursday across the western mountains of Wyoming. Snowfall will range from 3 to 6 inches by midday Thursday and may cause limited visibilities across the area. Snow may be mixed with rain Thursday, with temperatures expected to reach a high of 40 degrees. Widespread snow is expected across the area through Friday morning.
An east wind of 15 to 25 mph will occur around Farson, with blowing and drifting snow on Thursday.
The weather is expected to clear by the weekend through Monday and turn sunny with highs in the 50s.
