Agencies begin controlled burns

The Bureau of Land Management began controlled burning in the Maki Creek area of the Wyoming Range, west of Daniel, on Tuesday and Wednesday producing visible smoke in the valley. The Big Piney Ranger District will begin burning brush piles on the other side of Mackey Creek today (Thursday). These burns are fully staffed and being watched by fire fighting personnel.
