‘What did you hear in the War, Daddy?’ - May 16th
Songs and Stories from World War II – Dina Blade
May 6, 2009
"What did you hear in the War, Daddy?" is a lively presentation of American popular songs from World War Two. Costumed in military uniforms reminiscent of a WW II USO show, songstress Dina Blade, vocalist from Seattle, Washington, and pianist/vocalist Hans Brehmer weave a captivating musical program that is fascinating and fun, with audience interaction, memorabilia and anecdotal patter about radio, movies, Big Bands and dances in the wartime Swing Era. Guaranteed to get your feet tapping along while rekindling the magic of yesteryear!
The program will be on Saturday, May 16th, in the Heritage Room of the Sublette Center in Pinedale, from 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Cost is $5.
This program is sponsored by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council.
