Waggers 4H Club Dog Show Clinic
by Nan Stinson
June 1, 2009
On Saturday, May 16, the Waggers 4H club hosted a dog show clinic and fun run at the Sublette County Fairgrounds.
Approximately 15 kids and their dogs attended the event. The kids learned techniques used in showing confirmation as well as obedience. Contestants in the fun race introduced themselves and their dog and demonstrated a special trick. Then the owner called the dog from a distance of about 30 feet. They were timed to see which dog came to the owner in the fastest time. There was also an agility course for contestants to run their dogs through.
The event was free to the public. Hot dogs were sold to raise funds for the club. All entries received a prize.
