The Sublette County Library in Pinedale will present a program about Pinedale geology on Wednesday, July 29th.
The program, "A Brief Geologic History of Pinedale," will be by Dr. Gregory Baker from the University of Tennessee. The program will be at the Sublette County Library in Pinedale on Wednesday, July 29th at 8pm in the Lovatt Room.
Gregory S. Baker currently holds the Jones/Bibee Endowed Professorship in Geophysics in the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences at the University of Tennessee, where he is an Associate Professor. His area of specialization is "near-surface geophysics" which deals with remote imaging of the upper 200 m of the Earth’s subsurface. He is the Director of the Environmental Geophysics Research (EGR) Laboratory at the University of Tennessee and Director of Project GEODE (Geoscience Education, Outreach, and Diversity Enhancement) and has been coming to Pinedale for over a decade to study and teach within our grand glacial moraines.
