Jackson man found dead in Green River

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office issued the following release about the death of Jackson resident David H. Ptak on Tuesday, July 28, 2009.
"On July 28, 2009, at approximately 9::17 am, Sublette County Sheriff’s Deputies and Tip Top Search and Rescue were dispatched to the Upper Green for a report of a missing person. Upon investigation, it was determined that David H. Ptak, 27 of Jackson, Wyoming and a friend were unloading a boat into the Green river. Ptak was holding onto the boat in knee deep eater, his friend went to park the vehicle. The friend returned to find the boat 3200 yards downstream and Ptak was missing. Ptak was discovered approximately one half mile downstream with no pulse. Ptak was pronounced dead at 10:20 am. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2009." – Authority: Bardy Bardin, Sheriff
