Jason Michael Carroll, the rising country music star with the chart-topping debut album, "Waitin’ in the Country," will be the concert headliner at the Sublette County Fair. The indoor arena at the fairgrounds will rock with Carroll’s deep-valley baritone on Friday, July 31 at 7 p.m. Opening act will be the Doo Wah Riders.
Carroll’s first album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. His first two singles, "Alyssa Lies" and "Livin’ Our Love Song," shot into the Top 5. He opened for Brooks & Dunn, Trace Adkins, and Alan Jackson, and became part of the 2008 tours of Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride. He was also featured on Good Morning America, thrilled the crowd at the CMA Music Festival, and has played multiple times at the Grand Ole Opry. His latest CD, "Growing Up Is Getting Old," was released in April.
The Doo Wah Riders celebrate thirty years as performing artists. They have appeared in concert with Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Randy Travis, and Joan Jett, to name just a few. As a back-up band they have warmed up for Pam Tillis, Stonewall Jackson, Glen Campbell, Lee Ann Womack, and many others.
