Ask the Game and Fish Q. When can I start building a blind for archery hunting? A. There really aren’t any regulations for starting dates for blind construction. If you are hunting antelope, it*s probably not too early to start since a number of archery antelope seasons open Aug. 15 and the remainder open on Sept. 1. If you are hunting on private land, blind construction is up to the landowner. On public land you can build a temporary structure, but the blind must be removed after the season.
