Farmers Market Sunday, August 23
by Pinedale Farmers Market
August 21, 2009
We have several new and returning vendors. Alpine Herbs is bringing packaged herbs as well as oil diffusers. Miriam Carlson is making her spectacular bread and you won’t want to miss Pat Poletti’s Willow Baskets and Rhubarb Muffins. Painted Sage Farms will have Tomato Jerky this week. Rumor has it we may have a new vendor selling home-made baby carrier Ring Slings and diaper bags.
There is no Kids Market this week. Our Kids Market is brought to you by the Green River Valley Land Trust crew and we wish them well on their ANNUAL COMMUNITY PICNIC on Saturday at the Fairgrounds. If you haven’t made plans to attend, give them a call at 307-367-7007. It’s sure to be one of the summer’s finest events. Stop by the Farmers Market on North Tyler Street in Pinedale on Sundays from 11:00 am to 2:00pm.
ANTICIPATED PRODUCE FOR AUGUST 23RD: From Volcanic Farms: Corn, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Zucchini, Red Onions, Apples, Peaches, White Onions, Walla Walla Onions

Board votes on Vendor booth fees This week the board decided to implement a nominal weekly $5 fee per booth space. The action was necessary to cover the cost of insurance that was required to hold the Market. It is unfortunate that not enough memberships have been sold to support the market, but the Board will continue to recruit new members and the fee will be nominal. The new fee began with the August 16th market. Members can join for as little as $10. Membership allows the Market to continue by helping to purchase insurance and fund marketing and promotion to enhance everyone’s market experience.
