President Obama and family will be visiting several national parks during August as part of a three-day, four-state tour through the West. The first family will spend part of Saturday, August 15th, visiting Yellowstone National Park. They will then travel to Grand Junction, Colorado later in the day. On Sunday, the party will go on to visit Grand Canyon National Park and Phoenix.

The National Park Service announced on Monday that they were waiving admission fees to Yellowstone Park Saturday and Sunday, August 15 & 16th. (Free admission to Yellowstone Park Aug. 15 & 16)

Editor’s Note: Update 11:45AM Tuesday, August 11: We spoke with Al Nash, Chief of Public Affairs at Yellowstone National Park, this morning regarding scheduling for the President’s visit on Saturday. He said the park isn’t the primary source for information on the President’s visit and possible restrictions that may be put in place to limit public access to areas the President and his party will be visiting. "We’re the location. Arrangements are being made by the White House. There are no specifics available from the White House at this time," he said in a telephone conversation. Nash said, "Everyone will be able to get in and will get to see what they want to see. Come on in!"
