Hunters: Dispose of Carcasses Properly

Big game hunters are reminded that it is unlawful to dump carcasses or other refuse on public lands. Hunters have two lawful options in Sublette County. The first is to dump their big game carcasses at the landfill near Marbleton. This option is not very convenient to residents of northern Sublette County.
Beginning Wednesday, September 9, 2009 a second option becomes available. At the Pinedale Transfer Station a dumpster will be made available for disposal of big game carcasses.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department thanks the Sublette County Commission and Sublette County Waste Management for providing a workable solution to a big game carcass disposal problem, and urges hunters to dispose of their big game carcasses responsibly.
