Pinedale Recycling Center announces reduced services and hours
September 17, 2009
Marti Seipp, Coordinator for the Pinedale Recycling Center, sent out an update on the progress of the center as they deal with reduced funding issues:
"We are working on plans for a stable recycle program here and we're really optimistic about the future of recycling here.
For now, we have changed our hours a little. We'll be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. We're closed on Sundays and Holidays. Also, we won't be picking up recyclables any longer. It's just too expensive and don't have the funding for it. So please bring your recycling in to the center during open hours. Or if you like, M & M Transfer will pick up your cardboard for a fee. You can call them at 367-2767 and they will pick up your cardboard and bring it to the recycle center. Since your other option is to send it to the landfill with your garbage - for a fee, of course - it would be just great if everyone could arrange to have it recycled.
We at the Pinedale Recycle Center would like to give a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of you for your support and participation in the past and we hope you'll continue recycling to help keep our area CLEAN AND GREEN!"
