by Upper Green River Alliance media release
December 8, 2009
You are cordially invited to participate in the Pinedale Groundwater Forum: An educational opportunity to explore groundwater policy, landowner issues, and an oil and gas industry perspective.
Saturday, December 12, 2009 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sublette County Library meeting room 155 S. Tyler Ave. Pinedale, Wyoming
Join representatives of the State Engineer’s Office, Dept. of Environmental Quality, and Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission; industry representatives from Shell, BP, and Geomatrix, along with landowners from around the state. We will hear the basics of groundwater standards from regulators and technical experts working in the field, and personal accounts from those who live near natural gas development. The goal is to understand state agencies’ regulatory responsibilities for groundwater protection, landowners’ perspectives, and how industry implements standards on the ground where we all live, work and recreate.
Lunch and snacks will be provided, and donations are gladly accepted.
