SERC seeks two board members
Sublette Economic Resource Council

Sublette Economic Resource Council (SERC) was established in December 2009. It is composed of representatives from: Town of Marbleton, Big Piney, and Pinedale, Sublette Chamber of Commerce, and Sublette County Commissioners. There are currently two open seats on this board that are open to owners and/or managers of Sublette County businesses.
To apply for these positions please submit a one-page ummary of your background, why you would like to join the board and any other relevant information. Email to Alexis Berg, director@sercwyo.com, no later than January 13th.
Objectives of SERC
Identify, support, and facilitate county-wide economic development opportunities.
Promote sustainable job creation through information sharing, grant procurement, and workforce education.
Encourage and recruit local, regional and statewide entrepreneurial business initiatives for county-wide expansion.
Develop strategies to improve and diversify the economy in Sublette County, Wyoming.
Act as a central contact for prospective or existing businesses wishing to locate or expand in Sublette County, Wyoming.
Act as the liaison between local, state, and federal agencies to collect information about programs concerning economic development. Provide the names of contacts and details about available programs to interested individuals or businesses.
Communicate with and coordinate the efforts of various groups in the County concerned with economic development such as local governments and the Chamber of Commerce.
Actively work to identify and follow up on leads concerning potential businesses that could be attracted to the County or concerning possibilities for expanding existing businesses to create more jobs.
Promote Sublette Countys business climate through an information campaign designed to educate businesses with potential for moving to Sublette County.
The individuals will be chosen for these two positions at the January 20th board meeting. In order to qualify you must be an owner or manager of a business and be able to attend monthly meetings (3rd Wednesday of every month at 6 pm, rotating between Big Piney, Marbleton, and Pinedale).
