6th Annual Sunny Korfanta Giant Slalom

The Sublette County Ski and Snowboard Association sponsored the Annual Sunny Korfanta Race at White Pine Ski Area on Saturday, February 27th. Sixty-eight club snowboarders and skiers raced down the Giant Slalom course on the Little Spirit Hill.
The event is named in honor of Albert "Sunny" Korfanta, who was instrumental in opening White Pine Ski Area near Pinedale and had a life-long interest in sports, including skiing. Korfanta passed away in December 2009.
This is the 6th year of the annual race. After the race the club presented Sunny's wife, Fanny Korfanta, with flowers.
Congratulations to Laura Noble who posted the fasted ski run of the day at 27.88. Congratulations also to Tyler Moritsch who posted the fasted ski run for boys of the day at 29.88.
Snowboarders:
Congratulations to Hannah Cackler who posted the fastest snowboard run of the day at 42.90. Congratulations also to Kenyon Comstock who posted the fasted snowboard run for boys of the day at 47.98.
