2010 Aniel Daniel Chili Cookoff & Dessert Auction results
Raises over $3,300 to benefit the Daniel Community Center

Congratulations to winners in the 29th Aniel Daniel Chili Cookoff and Dessert Auction! The event was held on Saturday, March 27th at the historic Daniel Schoolhouse.
Number of chili entries: 11 red and 5 green
Judges were Mike Wensman, Bruce Carlson, Hal Erickson, Steve Belinda, Holly Roberts, and Tanna Jones.
Each winner received an embroidered apron made by Nan at The Talking T-Shirt in Daniel and will receive a portion of the chili entry proceeds. The overall winner also received a Daniel cookbook.

Cakes, pies, brownies and cookies were donated for the dessert auction that raised over $2,300. Many citizens and businesses, including Cafe on Pine, Obo's, and Daniel Junction, sent desserts for the auction.
The best decorated cake was a barnyard scene made by Mandy Calhoun. Mandy got a Daniel cookbook.
The dessert that raised the most money ($220) was a peach pie made by Kathie Tabatzky.
David Stephens was the auctioneer. The Green River Bar, donated the keg. The Big Piney school cafeteria ladies donated cookies for dessert.
Many people contributed by buying desserts, such as First Bank, and community members made cornbread and salads and helped organize the event, including Josie Brown, Jean Hayward, Jean and George Rahm, Nancy Wiebe, Lee Borgeson, Rollie Sparrowe, Rena Looney, Florence Beard, Brandi Mills, and Virginia Mika.
Once the chili prize money is deducted, the 29th Aniel Daniel Chili Cookoff and Dessert Auction will have raised over $3,300 to benefit the Daniel Community Center.
