M. Gordon ‘Reds’ Wolman passes away
Renowned expert on river science had ties to Pinedale area

M. Gordon "Reds" Wolman, an internationally respected expert in river science, water resources management and environmental education, and a member of The Johns Hopkins University faculty for more than half a century, died at his home in Baltimore, Maryland on Feb 24. He was 85.
In the 1950s, Wolman worked with Luna Leopold on hydrologic studies on streams in the Upper Green River Valley and Wind River Mountains around Pinedale.
