Long Range 22 Long Rifle Silhouette shoots

The Big Piney Gun Club is sponsoring Long Range 22 Long Rifle Silhouette shoots on the third Saturday of each month through the summer at the Big Piney gun range. The matches will start at 9:00AM and will continue throughout the day.
Matches will be held: Saturday, April 17, 2010 Saturday, May 15, 2010 Saturday, June 19, 2010 Saturday, July 17, 2010 Saturday, August 21, 2010 Saturday, September 18, 2010
Course of fire: 40 targets, OFFHAND (under 12 years any position) Any position with singles rest under forearm and the Rifle buttstock shall not contact the ground or bench directly or indirectly. 10 Chickens at 50 yards 10 Pigs at 100 yards 10 Turkeys at 150 yards 10 Ram at 200 yards
Cost to enter: $4 for adults, $4 for youth under age 16, youth under age 12 are free.
Equipment: Any safe 22 LR rifle with your choice of scope or iron sights. The same rifle shall be used throughout the course. Bring your own spotting scope.
Ammo: 22 Long rifle ammunition only. No 22 magnums allowed. Hyper velocity ammunition (such as CCI Stingers, Yellowjackets, Viper Hyper, Xpediter, etc) is discouraged to avoid excessive target damage.
Time Limit: Time will be a ten minute time limit for each string of 10 targets. Unlimited shots at a single target are allowed BEFORE firing at the first record target. There will be 2 relays firing during each set.
Directions: From Big Piney, travel west on Main Street (Budd Ave.) past the High School and head West for approximately 7 miles. The range is on the right hand side along the road. Can't miss it. Click here for a printable flyer for the summer shoots (PDF)
