Pinedale residents experienced a series of power fluxes and a longer outage Wednesday evening, April 21st.
According to Rocky Mountain Power spokesperson Dave Eskelson, there was an interruption on the transmission line at 12:29AM. Power was restored at 1:21AM on Thursday morning. The outage affected 3,940 customers in Pinedale, Cora, Boulder and Daniel.
Local customers reported experiencing a series of short fluxes earlier in the evening and then the longer full power outage shortly afterward.
Eskelson said they had reports of a lot wind and thunderstorm activity all over their service area Wednesday. Eskelson said he did not know the exact cause of Pinedale’s outage, but typically loss of transmission is due to weather-related activity such as a lightning strike or a tree blown down across a power line.
