Local candidates file for election

The August 17 primary election is already shaping up to be an interesting one, with new candidates filing, as well as candidates seeking re-election.
Republican incumbents Bill Cramer and Joel Bousman filed for re-election to the Sublette County Commission, and Republican challenger Tom Noble filed as well.
Jim Whinnery Jr. has filed also, seeking the Republican nomination for Sublette County Sheriff.
Republican incumbent Lucky McMahon is seeking election to her Sublette County Attorney’s seat, and Neal Stelting has filed for that position as well.
Other incumbents filing for their seats are clerk Mary Lankford, treasurer Roxanna Jensen, and assessor Janet L. Montgomery.
The filing period for candidates seeking to have their names on the primary election ballot is May 13 through May 28.
